The Spread Eagle's 39 bedrooms and suites are all individually designed and decorated and many are furnished with antiques, reflecting the history of the hotel. There are fascinating stories associated with some of the rooms, such as the White Room which has a secret passage reputedly used by fleeing smugglers and the Queen's Suite with its unique feature, a wig closet that may be the last one left in a hotel in England.
Each room has an en-suite bathroom, hospitality tray, colour TV, direct-dial phone, broadband access and hairdryer; 24-hour room service is available.
