Take a visit to Sussex at your own pace and enjoy a bit of culture and history, a garden or two or just some good old fashioned shopping in Brighton's renowned Lanes.
Some of the greatest British gardens are just a short drive from Ockenden Manor, from Borde Hill with it's renowned Edwardian Garden, Nymans with it's extensive garden set around a romantic house and ruins to the botanical gardens at Wakehurst Place. Also not to be missed is High Beeches particularly when the rhododendrons are in bloom and the vast Sheffield Park. And an absolute must is Leonardslee Gardens.
Kids love Borde Hill too - there is an amazing wooden playground with an extremely long zipwire!
