Families that play together, eat together and laugh together, love to stay at Bailiffscourt, here they find a chance to explore the great outdoors, play seaweed snakes and ladders on the beach, swim in a heated outdoor infinity pool, drink hot chocolate, play cards by the fire and generally forget routine and homework for a minute or two..
Bailiffscourt is a family friendly hotel and we recognise that if your children are happy and relaxed then so are you. We will do our best to ensure your children are as well looked after as you are, please ask if there is anything in particular we can do to make this happen.
Family Activities
Kids find loads of things to do at Bailiffscourt, as a family or as lone adventurers:
- Discovering our underground tunnel - dare to walk through it at night..
- Creating their own paths through the long grass to the woods and finding the secret rope swing..
- Seaside snakes & ladders on the beach (if you're not sure how just ask us!)
- Taking in a dip in our fabulous pools: family times for the spa are 10am to 11am and 3.30pm to 5pm daily and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult
- A Wimbledon-worthy game of doubles on our tennis court & have you tried Pickleball yet?
- A multi-generational challenge at croquet, giant jenga or quoits
- Board games by the fire - it's funny how competitve scrabble can get!
Family Rooms
We have lots of options depending on the age of your children and the size of your family.
You can either share a room - many of our rooms have sofa beds or ample space for extra beds and or you can book an entire house or cottage or simply choose adjacent or interconnecting rooms.
Tell us how you will be most comfortable and we will recommend the best fit for you and your family.
Please note 'kids go free' on a bed & breakfast basis when sharing a room with adults with meals charged as taken unless otherwise specified in the package.
Children's Meals
Children are welcomed in our Restaurant where you can dine comfortably as a family or you may prefer to find a table in our series of lounges. We have a selection of menus for younger children or please ask for smaller portions if there is something they fancy on the main menu.
And for those that can't last until dinner, we are happy to serve snacks and light meals throughout the day in our lounges, you can order room service or arrange a picnic to take to the beach.
So you can plan your day, timings are below and we hope you will find something your children like to eat and at the right time but if you have something particular in mind, please ask and we will do our best:
Snack menu is served between 12pm to 5.30pm
Our kids menu is served from 12pm to 5.30pm
Afternoon Tea is served from 12noon to 5.30pm
Please note that when sharing a room with an adult (with the adult booked on a bed & breakfast or dinner, bed & breakfast package) children stay on a bed & breakfast basis with meals and drinks are charged as taken
And remember there is a stash of fresh home-made biscuits in your room!
