As a hotel resident guest you have complimentary access to our award-winningspa, swimming pools and gym facilities - please see below for timings. There's also a wonderful choice of spa treatments to relax, de-stress, revitalise and restore. If you're not sure which treatment to book, our friendly, professional therapists can talk you through the selection and arrange the right one for you.

Spa treatments can be booked outside of these times.
Please note guests at The Black Horse, Climping do not have complimentary access to Bailiffscourt spa facilties.
We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes (30 minutes at Ockenden Manor) before your first scheduled appointment in order to give you ample time to check in, enjoy a refreshing herbal tea or coffee and start to relax
We have designated children spa access & swimming times at each spa.
Please note children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the spa (maximum two children per adult) and are only allowed in our Spa building and Spa areas during the times shown below. Children are not permitted to use the hot tub, jacuzzi, steam room or sauna.
Bailiffscourt: 10.00am to 11.00am and 3.30pm to 5.00pm daily.
Ockenden Manor: 10:00am until 11:00am and from 3:30pm until 5.00pm daily
The Spread Eagle: 10.30am to 12.30pm and 3.00pm to 5.00pm daily.
Due to the popularity of the spas, pre-booking spa treatments prior to arrival is essential. Please note that spa treatments are for guests who are 16 years or older.
Bailiffscourt:

Ockenden Manor:
Indoor pool approx 15m x 8m / Outdoor pool approx 11m x 4 m / 1.33 metres depth

We will provide you with everything you need for your spa experience including robes, slippers and towels. We request swimwear is worn throughout all wet areas, including the sauna and steam rooms. We ask that underwear is worn for all treatments - disposable underwear can be provided if preferred.
We have provided a calm and quiet haven for you to relax and switch off, we therefore ask that you relax and switch off your mobile devices while in the spa.
Please use headphones and avoid disturbing other guests by loud casting.
For individual spa day cancellations, please let us know at least 48 hours prior to the spa day stated arrival time in order to receive a full refund. And for group spa day bookings of 4 or more guests, we request 96 hours prior notice.
For spa treatment cancellations, please let us know 24 hours prior to the appointment start time in order to receive a full refund.
We offer specially designed treatments and spa days that are suitable during pregnancy.
We can offer some treatments in the first trimester of pregnancy, however please contact the Spa team for advice and may request a letter from your doctor or medical professional prior to treatment. Please also let us know if your pregnancy is a secret.
Full pre-payment for all spa packages and treatments in excess of £100 will be taken at the time of booking.
Major credit and debit cards are accepted for direct spa bookings.
Please note we do not accept personal cheques as a method of payment unless received 21 days or more before the date of arrival or event.
We have a variety of spa packages available so you can visit the spa without having to stay the night however please note spa access is not available as part of a treatment booking or as a day pass, and we do not offer a swim-only option.
We welcome non-resident guests in our hotels and restaurants.
There is ample, private and complimentary parking at all Historic Sussex Hotels.
Our car parks are solely for the use of our Hotel resident guests and members and visitors to the Spas and Restaurants. We cannot take responsibility for damage or loss to cars parked in our car parks.
Yes - at each hotel, and the pub, we have four electric car charging points for the use of our guests. The chargers are 2 x dual universal chargers 11kW and you will need your own cable to plug in. Before using these chargers you will need to download the Roam Charging App and follow the instructions.
While the hotel is extremely dog friendly, please note for health and hygiene reasons dogs are not permitted in the spas or spa buildings. If you are staying at the hotel with your dog please ensure you have arrangements in place for them to be calm and comfortable while you visit the spa.
If you have an assistance dog, please talk to a member of the spa team prior to arrival so that we can discuss suitable arrangements, and please note Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) are not permitted in the spas or spa buildings.
Yes - we sell a wide range of gift vouchers for fabulous experiences from spa days, afternoon tea and to overnight stays and monetary vouchers.
If you have been given a voucher or have purchased one for your visit or stay, please remember to bring it with you and hand it to a member of the team on arrival. Unfortunately proof of purchase is not sufficient and if you are unable to produce a physical, valid gift voucher, we will have to charge payment in full.
Please let us know, at time of booking, of any health conditions, allergies, ailments or injuries. For those undergoing any treatment or care from your medical professional, we require an approval letter to ensure the treatments we provide are appropriate and safe. On arrival at the spa, you will be asked to complete a consultation form.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the hotels, spas or restaurants, and we ask that you refrain from the use of e-cigarettes or vapes.
Please be aware that we will charge a room recovery fee for guests who do not comply in order to cover the cost of restoring guest rooms including spa treatment rooms and loos to a smoke-free condition.
