Stir-Up Sunday

Join the age-old tradition of Stir-Up Sunday on 25th November

Join us on the last Sunday before advent and make it a day for everyone in the family to take a turn at stirring the Christmas pudding, whilst making a wish. Group Executive Chef Martin Hadden will share the secrets of the perfect Christmas pudding before he guides you through the different steps of his classic recipe in a workshop.

Guests will need to bring their arm muscles for some vigorous stirring as the scents of Christmas waft around… orange and lemon, cinnamon, treacle and brandy. And whilst enjoying a well-earned and delicious roast, The Spread Eagles elves will carefully wrap and dress the puddings so that they are ready to be taken home to be cooked on Christmas Day.

Stir-Up Workshop & Lunch - limited availability

Join us at 11am for a lunchtime workshop followed by a delicious two-course roast lunch at 12.30pm.

Stir-Up Workshop & Afternoon Tea

Arrive at 3.30pm for your workshop followed by a Festive Afternoon Tea at 5pm

Lunch or Afternoon Tea Workshop £49 per person to include tea, coffee and home-made biscuits on arrival in the Jacobean Hall. Children under 16 are £20

Prices are per person and children under 16 are £20.
